In Chikkaballapura, a land parcel near Kandawara lake was transformed into a residential layout by the City Municipal Council, providing plots and houses for sanitation workers and ragpickers. Residents collaborated with TIDE, BORDA, and CMC Chikkaballapura to enhance access to decentralized sanitation services. A site was identified for a community toilet and a 10KLD DEWATS facility. A simplified sewer system was implemented for 30 households, with plans for extension. Solid waste collection improved with dust bins, street bins, and door-to-door waste collection.
